  Couldn't be happier with the service. Bought 4 items to fix a PC that wouldn't boot. When it turned out that I only needed 2 of those items, they refunded me for the other two (even though they weren't faulty) without a hassle!

  I like Scorptec in general, but the Rowville branch has very arrogant staff who are more interested in chatting to their friends online than helping customers. They just want to get your money and get rid of you as fast as possible. Appalling.

  Bottom line, if you need to visit their shop then avoid the Rowville branch like the Plague, and drive to Clayton instead.

  Clayton branch is the total opposite, fantastic, friendly, helpful staff - the way it should be, it's like they aren't even the same company.

  But when their website says "in stock" and you rock up as a wingman with your mate getting his parts and you decide to buy the bit you wanted, prepare to be disappointed.. the website lies about their stock levels and I was sent up the road (a whole 12 kilometres) to their Clayton store to get the product I wanted.

  My family has been shopping at Scorptec for about 17 years but i refuse to anymore, it's not the same company it used to be. I had a horrible experience with Scorptec whilst trying to get a refund on a 7 month old motherboard that stopped powering up for no reason. As it was completely broken and i would not have bought it had i known it would do that I believe this was a major fault which entitles the consumer to a refund if they choose but the store simply refused to give it, In the store they even tried to tell me that it's not up to them that the manufacturer chooses what happens. I contacted the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission they agree with me but would do nothing and told me I had to go into the Melbourne ACCC civil court to fight this which just isn't worth the hassle for me.

In my opinion none of these companies are looking out for the consumer so you may as well shop where the parts are the cheapest (not scorptec) or use a major retail store where you can expect better consumer protection.
